SPARSH’ is a participative and inclusive venture wherein the Indian Army’s Eastern Command joined hands with CSR initiative of various Corporate Houses and Individuals.
The Indian Army’s Eastern Command established a Palliative Care Centre ‘Sparsh’ in Barrackpore Cantonment in Kolkata.
The 15 bedded centre aims to provide succour to terminally ill patients and their families who are beyond active medical treatment and suffering from diverse ailments like cancer, neurological disorders and other critical ailments.
‘Sparsh’ is a joint venture by the Indian Army’s Eastern Command with the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of various Corporate Houses and Individuals.
The centre will provide comfort care, including psychological therapy and yoga in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
The centre hopes to increase patient capacity to 25 beds.
